Human Conflict
1. Puritan Society, a facade of a one-sided truth.
Upholding this "perfect life"
Strong beliefs are easily broken.
2.
Contradictory at most,
Humans will remain human.
Do only sinners and failures only exist ?
3.
Abigail, young and naive.
Driven by selfishness,
Escapes her reality.
4.
Never once a bit innocent,
Until the end..
When hysteria set her free.
5.
Proctor, he was only just a man.
If flaws are inevitable,
Shouldn't forgiveness be as well?
6.
To serve your full purpose in life,
Means to die a good man.
In the end, who's judgement really matters?
7.
Danforth, with a heavy heart and mind.
Yet, left with a heavy decision.
Was weighed down by circumstance.
8.
Choices are made to be right..
However, they mean much more if they please the right people.
Who do I please in this life ... You? Myself? God?
9.
Morals, preset by God.
Guide hearts and frame minds.
Different minds.
10.
To satisfy with civil beings,
The clash is inevitable.
Who's right and who's wrong ?
11.
What matters most ..
Life on Earth? The Afterlife?
12.
Final judgement awaits.
Your sins ready for punishment..
13.
If so, what do you pick ?
Life or Death.
Live a lie, or die for one..

Every thing was simple and very discriptive . I liked the fact that you used poetic words.

ReplyDeleteThroughout, your stanzas are intriguing. Excellent diction. I also like the exemplary inquisitive aspects, and your use of metaphorical and philosophical context. Really good job Mailei.
